i was thinking the exact same thing, but to be fair its not always NTR just look at Welf in Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon he never steals any girls from bells harem. so it works sometimes but it can be a fine line if not written well

i want things to stay fresh, its interessing approach to have a strong MC who isnt a hero, and have deep though about everything, the fact to have a kid can appeal to our parenthood side and not egoism side usually seen in shonen like get power sex money etc....
you can have far more interessant story with a kid stuff, imagine he felt bound to him and then plotwist, the kid is cursed and have demonlordskill which ernhance the evil inside him, will he kill him, or will he try to rise him and save him from himself?
good story need many things, dilemm between evil and good, epic and strenght of character, good bishoijo harem, charismatic bad guys, but the best part is a good drama, not just a loss/pain, but how the character will face it, thats the strong part who can echoe to our own life, the older we get, the worse we can face anytime, but dont we need to "shall overcome" ?

You know that the summon was random right? So Kelvin just summon somebody it wouldn't have effected the gender or age of that person unless they would use skill points which I think would be a waste.

First the voice did make me think "girl" and not "boy" and second she is wearing a short skirt in the summoning. Regardless of some deviant attention getters out there, boys just don't wear that clearly feminine attire (and it was clearly NOT a Kilt). Third there are subtle hints of a pronounced chest (breasts) through her blouse, and finally, our black Knight Commander states her gender in his question...

I thought that too, afterall, she didn't have any noticeably feminine attributes, and her voice could be either male or female considering the age, plus her hairstyle and dress are almost exactly the same as Kelvins...very similar anyways, so it's not surprising her gender was hard to define. That is an anime specialty afterall. XD

Kelvin is not wearing a skirt, he's in a robe. Voice still hold a more feminine tilt, rather than a higher pitched male voice. and she does have breasts which are not prominent but can be noticed in the drawing style of the blouse.
